Join Two Playtests in September

Get ready - this month we’re hosting not one, but two playtest events, scheduled for September 25 and 28! Both tests will begin at 17:00 UTC and are open to all players worldwide who have signed up for the HyperScale Alpha Testing Program.

Playtests offer the Edge of Chaos community exclusive access to the game, as well as the chance to provide feedback and influence the game’s ongoing development. Whether you're already familiar with Edge of Chaos or trying it out for the first time, we hope you’ll join one or both of these global playtests, experience intense combat in a dynamic gameworld, and engage with your fellow players.

New Game Map and Further Details

These playtests will also feature the world premiere of a brand-new gameplay map. While details about this new area are still being kept under wraps, participants will be among the first to explore and test it.

During playtests, you can join the official MetaGravity Discord where we’ll be streaming live, giving gameplay tips and discussing the game’s development. More Details:

• Tests will take place at 17:00 UTC on both dates. (To see what that means for your local time zone, click here.)
• In addition to signing up here, participants must have a Windows PC and an active Steam account.
• Keys to access the game will be sent out approximately 1 week prior to the first test date. The same key will unlock the game for both tests.
• Players are free to join one or both tests. Players that participate in both tests and surveys will receive credit for each, which will be added to their ongoing rewards balance.
• Rewards for participation in HyperScale Alpha playtests will be distributed closer to the launch of the game, and will include in-game currency and titles, elevated Discord roles, and more.
• Note that the two tests will cover the same general ground - basic combat, PvP, and scaling with bots/NPCs - but as the game is largely free-form and player defined, no two matches are ever the same! You can also take the opportunity of trying out different classes and realms over the two dates.

Note: tests are conducted on a single global server, which may result in moderate to severe lag for some players depending on their relative ping.
